總之，Azure身為雲端運算服務，根據美國國家標準與技術研究院的定義：

Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.
This cloud model is composed of five essential characteristics, three service models, and four deployment models.

提供可隨時取用且方便的網路存取資源，並以最小的管理或互動即可迅速控制，而這個模型由 5 個根本特徵、3 個服務模型和 4 個部署模型組成，而這3個服務模型即是IaaS, PaaS及SaaS。

前幾天透過Azure建立的虛擬機器就是一種IaaS(Infrastructure as a Service，基礎設施即服務)的應用，從系統到應用程序都需要自己管理，即完全自己配置一台雲端的主機，當然好處是隨時可以增添或減少資源，得以迅速調整。

而PaaS(Platform as a Service，平台及服務)，則提供一作業系統或應用程式開發平台，不需要配置硬體方面的資源，只需要將程式碼部署到服務提供的虛擬環境即可，未來數天打算試著學習使用Azure的PaaS，如App Service等。
